Der erste Projekt des Somalia Rebuild e.V. ist das Kurban schlachten am Opferfesttag. An diesem Tag wurden 16. Schafe geschlachtet und an Personen im Hungernot gerecht verteilt.

Das schlachten aller 16. Schafe wurde in beisein eines Veterinärs durchgeführt um sicherzustellen, dass das Fleisch keine Krankheitserreger beinhaltet.
